What a great experience. Initially I was curious due to the subtle colors if the resturant was going to be simplistic with a matching food pallete. But I was mistaken. Now while nothing wowed me or knock the proverbial socks off my tastebuds. I wasnt dissapointed by anything which in its own way is even more impressive. All the flavors of the steak, mashed potatoes, and shrimp were better or on par with any major chain steakhouse.
My server Tim was the highlight of my visit. Never had I seen a waiter not use a notebad and take an order flawlessly but what I loved the best was he took extra care to leav sauces and gravy in the side to allow us to add them at our discretion. Never have I had a customer service experience as considerate as this.
The resturant was clean and quiet while still feeling alive.
If I were to leave any weakpoints id say the color choice for the wall paint was more akin to a garage or doctors office.
Additionally the rolls and fries were the culinary drawbacks and even though they both were real and fresh there was a noticeable lack of seasoning.

Read moreDecent clean friendly place... before i ordered, i asked the server about the cook and explained that i rarely can get a steak cooked correctly (medium rare). He said just to make sure he'd put in the order rare so that if it were under cooked, it could be fixed... well, we had our appetizer the zucchini and mushrooms were soggy. But the shrooms tasted good... then my well done steak arrived. lol. The server asked us to cut the meat to see the cook in it . I cut it. You could tell by the firmness that the steak was waaaaaaaayyyyyy over cooked. I opened it to show the server ... he immediately offered me a new steak. I wasn't prepared to wait for a new steak, so i declined. It Had decent flavor decently marbled but a little tough as you'd expect... yes, I'd try again and Id give the server the same heads up about the cook of the meat ... if I do, I will revise this review better or worse depending... a solid 3 stars... what a shame coulda been 4½ if they could read a meat thermometer. Service rating would have been better if he had just talked to the cook rather than ordering under done to...
Read moreSo for a couple years now, Shelly has been on me to go to Montana Mike's for dinner. So tonight, I surprised her, and we pulled into Montana Mike's Steakhouse. That was my first mistake! We got seated and waited about 10 minutes to get our drink order taken, and that was by another waitress, not our waiter! The manager saw it took a while, and offered a free appetizer, so we got stuffed mushrooms. They were cold and not cooked. We finally got our food order taken, again by someone other than our waiter! Finally we got our steaks and sides. And guess what? Everything was cold! Finally our waiter came over and asked how everything was. I told him, "terrible"! So he goes and gets the manager. She apologizes and asks if she could remake the meal. We had both had enough of the place by then, so we declined. She apologized again, and told us to stick around a minute because she wanted to give us a gift card! This was by far the worst dining experience we've ever had! No more Montana Mike's for me! I should have went with my choice, Red Lobster. This was like a bad Chevy Chase...
