i went here twice during my stay in indianapolis, only gecause i loved it so much the first time.
my first visit was great, we had just arrived in the city a few hours before and were looking over the menu. the guy at the counter (i unfortunately never got his name; i believe he had long, dark hair and was lanky) was super friendly and funny, gave us reccommendations and really was a charmer. he was patient with us the entire time. we met the manager, or head chef? i wasn't sure what his position was but he (stockier, had short blond hair if i remember right) was very friendly as well.
the second time we went was less enjoyable, which is why i took off a star. the employee helping us was very straight to the point and kind of rude, as if we were wasting his time (to be fair, our group was much bigger this time with 12 people). it still kind of offput our night.
the food was great both times, regardless of the service. very reasonably priced and it's a big pie for what you pay for. if i'm ever in indianapolis again i'll definitely be...
Read moreSuch a pretty space inside and decent location to hotels made this place stand out to us. The food tasted off. A friend and I ordered different things and when I tried to explain to a “server” that came over to ask how we were I handed the calzone my friend ate 3 bites of and explained she did not like, she told us she was really sorry. I had hopped she would offer us something else for the price which we paid but she didn’t .. no money back either. Sucked. We handed her the plate we just wasted money on. So we ordered something else, again such a let down, didn’t finish left it on table, got up left. You pay before you receive your food. The “pop” was disgusting, it was like flavored water that was flat… The best thing was the server coming to check on us and the restaurant looked clean and nice. Otherwise we could’ve saved money by not coming here, we will not be returning… we should have knew better when there was 3 ppl in the whole place…. Save...
Read moreGreat food!!! The guy running the place was running his tail off, running the register, serving food, bussing tables, meeting and greeting while everyone was eating. He seemed like the owner to me. He was doing a great job. The food was amazing! We got the 5-0 and the Roasty Toasty. The 5-0 was like a BBQ Hawaiian pizza. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy and the calzone was crazy cheesy. It was delish!! The DW got the Roasty Toasty. It was a chicken pesto calzone that she enjoyed greatly. The sodas aren't typical pepsi and coke but some small brand that was really tasty. They also offer some adult beverages and desserts that we will definitely try next time. I highly recommend this place for a quick tasty bite before heading into Gainbridge Fieldhouse (or whatever name they put on it next week)...
