Connie's Neighborhood Bar — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Midtown finally has its dive bar back! Connie’s is dark, vibey, and affordable. $13 cocktails ($9 at happy hour), $5–9 beers, and hot dogs for $6–8. This is the kind of spot the Rock Block has been missing; perfect pre-show or late-night and right behind Exit/In.

Went for the soft opening last night and it really hit the spot for a low-key but fun night. It’s in the old Café Coco back room (cleaned up but still feels like a dive in the best way!)

Drinks were really tasty. I had a Gold Rush and a Mai Tai, both delicious but the Mai Tai stole the show. Menu has a mix of classic cocktails (Gold Rush, Marg, Paloma, and even an espresso-tini!) high and low brow beer, wine and some fun NA options (including a THC seltzer).

The food menu keeps it simple but fun: hot dogs with creative, Asian-inspired toppings because who doesn’t want a late night delicious hot dog? I went classic with ketchup + mustard and Zapp’s chips and it was pretty legendary in and of itself, but I’ll be back for the Kani dog that comes topped with crab rangoon dip.
