Olive you And I loved stopping by @gfg_7ave @gfg.cafecuisine to try all of the amazing and fresh Greek food with @aaronchristopher_j !! Christos, the owner, sat with us and told us all about the authentic products he gets from Greece, including some of the best olive oil. As for the fruits and vegetables, they’re organic and fresh, tested by the smell. They have the best feta and halloumi cheeses too, made with the greatest cultured mills. Plus, they have amazing phyllo desserts, cakes, and cookies all made to Christos’s standards. We tried: •Lunch box - a make your own box where you can chose a salad or faro base, vegetables, and a protein. I chose faro cous cous and spinach mix, olives, tomatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, and lamb. -Their lamb is oven roasted low and slow for hours to bring out the best flavor. Also note that the lamb is the most expensive thing on the menu - only $17! Everything here is priced so reasonably for a popular midtown lunch spot. •Halloumi sandwich - grilled fresh halloumi with tomatoes, cucumber, and pesto in a freshly baked pita •Greek Salad - made with that delicious Greek olive oil, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, green pepper, onion •Spanakopita - an easy to eat yet super crumbly hand pie of spinach, leak, and cheese •Phyllo desserts like baklava •Banana Cream Pudding - arguably better than other known competitors in the city 😉. During brunch, they’ll serve it over pancakes or French toast but you can grab a cup to go any time of day •Raspberry Drizzle Olive Oil Cake - yep! Olive oil cake. Don’t freak out. It doesn’t take like olive or oils - it’s a super moist cake almost like pound cake •Amygdalota - traditional almond cookies •Mint lemonade

I have had better experiences at the DMV. The cashier was nice enough, but it was a pretty awful experience. I placed my order at 1:58 pm and arrived at 2:08 pm as per pickup instructions. I showed my order and gave my name to staff. I did not receive my order of a chicken gyro and halloumi fries until 2:29 pm. While waiting, a curly haired young man snacked on halloumi fries in yellow sauce on what I can only assume were extras from my order by the counter display beside the cashier. This wouldn't be too much of a concern, but... unfortunately they happen to also forget my included fries' sauce. They included my gyro's cucumbers on the side with my order which was fine since a gyro's pita can only hold much. Decent food, awful service, and waited 20 minutes after scheduled pickup time. If there was a delay, communication with customers could've been clearer.

I had a Groupon that I printed out and took with me on my trip to the Big Apple. After walking all the way from 14th street with my daughter and her baby, the guy at the counter asked for an electronic version. He was reluctant to accept the print out, which I never encountered before. In any case, he allowed us to use it because I couldn't remember my Groupon password. The indoor seating is very limited and not very comfortable. The service was quite slow, even though it wasn't that crowded. The food was tasty, although the presentation and ambiance of this place left something to be desired. On an upbeat note, a very nice young woman who worked there sat down with us and told us about her experiences as a new mom.

Moonlight Mermaid 27 reviews·7 photos

21 hours ago NEW I went into the restroom after a worker. Urine was everywhere. Toilet not flushed. Seat up and he didn't wash his hands. I wish I had used the restroom before I had eaten here. Disgusting!!!!! **In response it was 11:50-12:00pm it wasn't messy it was filthy with bodily fluids and a dry sink. Food: 2/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5

Greek from Greece (Owner) 20 hours ago Hi moonlight, we would appreciate the approximate time of the event you described, as we can check who the employee was . We have cameras facing the restroom door from the outside. All employees are required to wash their hands after using the restroom and we definitely keep it spotless at most times . As we only have one restroom during the lunch hour rush it can get messy fast .

Update we went through the camera footage, no employee went to the bathroom between 11-2pm. This is likely a bogus claim. We believe moonlight was the disgruntled walk in who wanted to use the bathroom without paying anything. If we are wrong a moonlight can produce a receipt that visited our store we will provide with $100 free food.

UPDATE SEND ME YOUR EMAIL & I'll show you the charge from my Apple Pay. I paid for my meal ate then used the restroom. There was a male employee walking out and an elderly male sitting at the table by the bathroom. You can keep your $100. What I saw was so unsanitary. I don't want your $$$. I want people to eat and...

This place is a gem in Midtown Manhattan. I had the farro and arugula salad my husband the club sadwitch with chicken. and avocado. This Restaurant cares about the quality of the ingredients used. They use best quality oil, cheeses and breads and salad greens and other veggies are so fresh and crisp. The owner is very friendly and so is the cashier. We were attending a function near by and we knew that only bar bites and great drinks would be offered so we ate here. I am so happy we found this place. They have a grade A which they got through an inspection by the NYC Health Department something that is extremely hard to achieve in Midtown Manhattan, I know I work for the city and I am also a food safety specialist. The desserts look scrumptious and there were artisanal greek baked goods that were fresh and delicious and protected from contamination. If I were a tourist looking for delicious food that is clean, quality, well cared for and affordable I would go here. thanks God am a local. I can go there everytime I go to a...
