Brenda's Cafe — Restaurant in Ocean City

I dont have the heart to give Brenda's 4 stars, but it's their true rating. They get an extra star because I'm rooting for them.

Let's start with why I still gave them 5 stars- the staff is super friendly, the restaurant is superbly clean, the food is reasonably priced, and the location is convenient.

Now for where they could have improved to get me raving about this place. The Mexican food has flavor and is simple, but is by no means authentic or fiery with flavor. The coffee is palatable, but they seem to lean heavily on coffee flavorings for people who like sugary coffee. Perhaps buy your grounds from one of the local roasters, the black coffee was bordering on watery. And as I'm sitting here writing my girlfriend notified me that the pick de gallo I asked for on the side for my tacos(which was a very small portion for $11.50) was charged extra.

I'm rooting for this place, and wont be the one to take their rating from 5 stars, but there is room for improvement for them to earn that 5th...

Beyond yummy! If you hear there early you'll be able to go outside and sit in lovely seats. I will say the restaurant is attached to a hotel so you'll have to deal with seeing people in the pool and guests going about but it's not awful! We loved literally everything there's 0 complaints. It's run but some sweet Mexican ladies and god.. god the Mexican based meals are so good. Honestly everything is way too good. I had the chicken and waffles as well as my brother. And UGH literally the BEST chicken and waffles I've ever had. The chicken was moist, tender and beautifully seasoned. I still keep thinking about those tenders because they were just so wonderful! They also make the tortillas fresh and they corn just UGH YES!! Please PLEASE go here and support the lovely ladies I cannot appreciate them enough 🙏🏼

I truly can't say enough about this establishment! From top to bottom and side to side, Exemplary is 1 of many words to describe this restaurant and staff! Right down to the immaculate silverware! I have not seen silverware cleaned and shined to mere perfection! That's virtually un heard of these days! Thank you! The food was prepared to perfection, with attention to detail and compassion, the portions were large, and the taste was 6 or above stars, the best accumulated staff that I haven't seen in many years, and being from las vegas I've experienced alot of 5 star establishments, with this restaurant casting shadows on very big named brands! I thank all of these that have enhanced not only this visit but renewed a hope that there is good people and service still out in public...
