Bad service! If you come from NYC be aware that customers are not treated with the respect and fairness you might be used to…(and should be offered regardless of the city you’re coming from!) We were very excited to have food here since it was recommended by a local, but the service really left us with a bitter taste. We got a la carte sushi and all the fish was fresh, except for the fatty tuna (toro) which we left for the last, since it’s our favorite cut. It turned out that the flavor of the fish was bad, as well as the cut- which was chewy (not the buttery texture you might expect). So we told the server that we did not enjoy the toro and she did not even apologize, just disregarded us by saying she’ll inform the chef. When we asked for the check, it was presented to us with the item we couldn’t have on it! So, we asked for the manager that told us that “we don’t usually take items off the check but we’ll do it for you” lol, that’s the most incompetent approach I’ve seen in management, since I also work in restaurant management and was awfully disappointed in how she was trying to make us understand that if the item was not sent to the kitchen she cannot take it. To which we tried to make the manager understand that it’s difficult to tell if a cut of fish is good or not just by looking at it! So we had to have it and respectively spit away the fish since it was not fresh. I would recommend the ownership to look into the service the staff and management has, since no one should ever make a customer feel bad for not liking an item! In conclusion, do not waste your money and energy- I’m sure there are other places where you can have good sushi and enjoy good customer service- this is just...

They never brought out our salads. When we noticed during our meal that they didn’t come out, we tried to get peoples attention but none of the servers seemed concerned to make eye contact or stop at our table. When the server finally came back, we had almost finished our meals and at that point honestly didn’t really have the space for the salads. So I just asked if they could discount something off the bill. They said they could not but would bring us the salads to go. We are staying in a hotel and the mini fridge is VERY mini. We said we were not able to fit the salads due to lack of space. She offered us free ice cream but we are all lactose intolerant and declined. I again asked if they could just take off 5% or less even. Just something. We were told by multiple individuals (none of which was the manager, even after requesting to speak to one) that it would be taken from the servers pay at the end of the night if we got some sort of deduction. Environment and meal was okay. But sad to say we got a sour taste in our mouths to find out that such a simple mistake with such a simple solution could have been handled so much better and the management never bothered to even address it leaving staff members to...

This place was AMAZING. We went for lunch after walking around town for a bit and managed to get there in time for the lunch specials which were pretty reasonably priced and we thought so even more once we got our food. It. Was. DELICIOUS. We paid $36 for two people (not including gratuity) for two miso soups, two salads, two sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, veggie tempura, 4 pieces of Cali roll, spring roll and veggies! It filled us up, didn't kill our wallet, and was VERY tasty. The sushi was soooo fresh. The spring roll was stellar. Likely the best spring roll I've ever had ever.

The service was friendly and efficient! Our waitress was just attentive enough to keep us refilled on waters and get us in and out the door without making us feel rushed in the slightest.

The ambiance is pretty minimalist - which honestly just gave room for the food to shine. I wasn't sure what to expect walking into this room by appearance alone. But I'm glad we went! Highly recommend the maki roll lunch special (until 3pm!) after a morning of strolling around! It's just enough food to make you feel full without popping and is a great and fresh and cold lunch option to cool you off...
