Wow this was absolutely amazing. I did the pour and play mixology class for my 30th birthday and was absolutely blown away. It was absolutely expensive no doubt about it, but I feel like it was worth the experience and the occasion. I was told there would be a few appetizers set but and there was SO MUCH amazing food. I was so impressed. There was hummus, charcuterie plates, giant meatballs, breads, tiny pickles, carrots and probably more I'm forgetting. It was really good and I totally wasn't expecting such a spread, it was very delicious. They had us all sit and explained the plan, which is to get us comfortable making some mixed drinks. Then one at a time we went up and their bartender helped us to make something unique that we would want. Not one of the ten people in my party, came away not liking their drink. If you arrive on time there's time for two drinks lol! My guests all got there a little late so we ended up having to run to our dinner reservation after we all made one. It was absolutely amazing, I totally loved it. It was a great 30th birthday event, it would be a great bachelorette or bachelor party event too. Everyone was SO NICE and the process was easy (I did it absolutely last minute too). They even did a separate one on one w one of my guests at the end who specifically wanted some info on tiki drinks. Great experience, if you need a classy special event, this one is...
Read moreMy first repose when looking at these reviews was "4.4 stars, you gotta be $#!++ing me." We stopped in on the way to our room after an event at Lucas Oil (Saturday night) to use our 2 complimentary drink tickets for staying at the hotel. It took 20+ minutes to get served at the bar. 1 bar tender on each side, with 1 guy bussing. The bar was full of people, as so was the seating area surrounding the bar. Poorly managed in my opinion. Saturday night, downtown Indy, Lucas Oil event, the should have had bar tenders on each corner. Would have benefited the customers, as well as the pockets of the bar owners and staff. For a premierly priced bar to only have 1 drink well, at the end where she is secluded from the customers, is a bit absurd. The bar tender also kept her bottle opener at the well, yet the beer coolers are located throughout the bar, so she would need to continually run to the well to open the bottles... poor layout. To top it off, our order of a screwdriver with titos was made with pineapple juice... the washes were kept in similar looking bottles in the well, so I'm assuming the bar tendering couldnt easily identify the different juices. Next time we'll just forego that experience and spend the extra time to walk, and go somewhere else for...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places to visit pre-pandemic. They had an extensive craft cocktail menu and always offered truffle popcorn. The service was impeccable and it was the perfect place to have a date night or catch up with friends.
We stopped by this evening around 10pm (they are open until 12 on Saturday night) and the place felt like it had been forgotten about. The outside fire pits were off, tables put up, and couch cushions stained. No one greeted us when we came in and had to flag someone down to take our order after waiting for a while. The waitress definitely gave off the impression that we were bothering her by being there.
We weren’t offered popcorn and they were closing and cleaning like it was past close, when they were open for another 2 hours. It definitely felt like they didn’t want customers to be there.
The drink menu was pitiful and premade. In visits past it was a craft cocktail bar and they took pride in the drinks they served. We had the Platt 99 punch and it was awful.
The server left for the night and just left her tables without saying a word; we had to find someone to pay our bill. It was disappointing returning after the pandemic to find this place in such disarray. I’d recommend...
