Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Been coming here often my son likes burgers and unfortunately is the only option with in walking distance. However our orders are always wrong . Always!!!!!🤬 tonight I was upset as it’s always if I ask for no cheese, onions raw or grilled … it is in the receipt why are cooks getting order wrong ? Whose responsibility it is to make sure cooks are making orders right? The supervisor on that shift . Tonight my out order was wrong yet again. We don’t like cheese & pickles on burgers. we alwys make sure to ask for none of that . Somehow they masts have cheese or pickles? Even if I remove pickles which it would pose an issue but they leave the vinegar flavor on burger. 🤮 thing is after so many times but manager on shift was upset stated they only have a problem with me asking for changes ? Well? Is it in purpose then? Are they purposely getting my orders wrong all the time ? I never noticed before, I have been very understanding but tonight . Talking to her was like talking to a 2 yrs old . She sounded dumb confused maybe she was high ? Idk they’ve never had problem with anyone’s order but mine ? Is she for real? She said no only you? I asked for my money back they asked me to move aside to assist other customers then Cashier proceeded to walk away after completing others orders . Completely ignoring my request . If they can’t get a burger order right then what can they do? It’s a burger with no cheese and no pickles? Maybe is too much for her peanut size brain ! Don’t recommend goi g at night maybe the morning associates have a brain ! Because how hard is to read an order? Specially when place is always empty? Had never been to this location before - it's right in the heart of Downtown LA. Luckily, I went there on a Wednesday evening at around 6.30 PM, so there was plenty of parking. Don't expect parking to be easy though - there's only metered street parking so paying and parallel parking skills are both a must. People started parking behind me as soon as I arrived, so it's a hip takeout spot.

Food-wise, I got a Veggie Burger without cheese, with raw onions, along with Sweet Potato fries. I usually always get the Onion Rings but I do find them particularly heavy afterwards, so if you want to keep your tummy feeling light, skip the onion rings. The veggie burger was cooked to perfection - the lettuce was crisp and washed. I could still see the water droplets dripping from the green leaves! My instructions of no cheese were also strictly adhered to, so they are awesome! Took 7 minutes to get my order of 2 veggie burgers and 2 sweet potato fries, so speed was good. Employees were polite and diligent!

The only reason for the one star off were the sweet potato fries: they weren't particularly fresh or warm, and didn't taste up to par. Good serving size, but not worth the $3.09 I paid to consume them. Quality of their fries could definitely be improved. I also don't like this location because of the DTLA traffic and the street parking, so that also accounted for the one star off.

Overall, a good place to get a juicy meal for a vegetarian like my mother and I. We both always like the Habit Burger Grill. I recommend it if you've got $20 to spare on munchies for a...

I have not been a fan of the Habit I the past because they char their meat. I feel there is overwhelming evidence that charing meat leads to a multitude of health issues. However, I have noticed they don't tend to do that to their grilled chicken anymore ( at least rather recently). They also offer a pretty good meatless option too.

My opinion started to change when I received a free meal from one of their trucks while buying a new car. It was the best meatless burger I've ever had.

Flash forward to today, when I gave them a second opportunity to win me over while downtown LA parked next to their Hope street location. Not only was the meals I ordered correct today (including a heavily customized chicken club), it also tasted very awesome and wasn't chared at all.

Add to that, they appear to be doing more to adhere to these Covid19 precautions than any other restaurant chain I've been to recently. I am now impressed and will spread my positive experience far and wide... I will also be ordering more often for sure.
