A solid 4 stars out of five. I started the morning with a cuicciccino, ordered the "spicy seafood dip" which was actually a seafood chowder and not thick enough to be called a "dip" which came with a pretty decent loaf of bread. I enjoy crab, shrimp, and scallops, so I also got the seafood crepe. After receiving the dip, I figured it wouldn't be a traditional crepe and would be messy, and I was right. You could not hold the crepe in your hand and something is lacking from it, like an egg or something... I'm not sure what. I'm no crepe expert, but I can tell you something is very off. My wife got the lox pasta and it was very good and appeasing. We finished with a Dutch hot chocolate and a cafe Cubano, respectively. I got the Dutch hot chocolate for the hazelnut, and it was much better than expected. An amazing chocolate masterpiece masked with way too much cream. With that, we got a B-52 cheesecake and the Spice cake(cake of the day) which were both delicious and went together well. For scenery, it is amazing. Atmosphere, they need to figure out temperature controls because everyone in the detached room was sweating. Food, could use better descriptions on the menus so that people get what they expect and don't have higher expectations than the quality they get. Menus, should have paper copies printed and ready for people that prefer a physical copy. There are no hosts and the staff that do all of the work are working hard the entire time. Hire a host!
Beyond the few minor issues, this was an amazing experience to be had. I'll probably be back a few times for the cocoa, salmon, and...
Read moreInteresting little Turkish cafe that leaves its mark on every patron that comes and visits. Love it or hate it but you can’t ignore it.
Their Turkish coffee was amazing. They do a very good job of describing what it would entail on the menu such as coffee grounds in the coffee, or presence of Cardamom and sugar; but it’s definitely worth a try if you never tried it before. Highly recommend!!
Croissant on the other hand was a huge disappointment. It was cut in half and toasted on the grill with oil and served with butter. When I travel to Europe, you never get croissant served that way — so I thought they didn’t stick to the European style of serving croissant. It didn’t taste good. I’d highly recommend not to order it.
Cubano Iced Latte was alright. The small Lattes have 1 espresso shot and the Large latte has 4 espresso shots, so be careful ordering that large one. The price will also reflect the same.
They had an hour long wait on Sunday morning so we took bar seats. The staff was somewhat friendly until the tab was settled. We lingered there a bit until coffee was finished, we always like to pay early so we can leave as soon as we’re done eating instead of waiting for the tab to be settled. The staff did not pay attention when we asked for a to-go cup at least 5 times, they just ignored. Eventually after 10 mins, we were able to procure the to-go cup for my Latte.
There’s no parking downtown that you can find free but there’s a lot right next to 2nd Ave that will get you in and out for $10 for an hour and 15...
Read moreI had the pleasure of having breakfast today at Café Intermezzo, located in the vibrant heart of Nashville, and the experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in. The place is absolutely beautiful, with cozy decor and a relaxing atmosphere that invites you to stay.
The service was top-notch, and I especially want to highlight our server, Michael, who was friendly, attentive, and really made our visit even more special. The service was impeccable!
As for the food and drinks, everything was delicious. We ordered an English breakfast tea, which was perfectly brewed, with a smooth and aromatic flavor, ideal for pairing with any breakfast. My husband chose a Cuban-style coffee with milk, which was strong and dark, with a delicious richness that he really enjoyed.
For our main dish, we had eggs benedict, with eggs cooked perfectly and a creamy hollandaise sauce that complemented everything wonderfully. The potatoes, seasoned with rosemary, were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—simply delicious. The french toast was another standout: fluffy, with a subtle touch of cinnamon and sugar, served with melted butter and maple syrup, all perfectly balanced.
The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast in Nashville. We will...
