A Culinary Masterpiece in the Heart of Jackson Hole: Orsetto Italian Bar and Eatery.
Last Friday, our party of three had the absolute pleasure of dining at Orsetto Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped in warmth, elegance, and a palpable passion for exceptional cuisine.
The restaurant's design is sleek and sophisticated, with a beautifully crafted bar that immediately caught our attention. The impressive bottle collection behind the bar is a testament to Orsetto's commitment to offering an extensive selection of fine wines and craft cocktails. We opted for a bottle of Pinot Grigio (Instead of a red wine for our Entrées), which proved to be an exquisite choice. Its crisp acidity and subtle notes of green apple, pear, and citrus perfectly complemented our meal.
We began our culinary journey with the Carpaccio dish, a delightful starter that set the tone for the evening. Thinly sliced wagyu beef, expertly paired with arugula, shaved parmesan, and a tangy lemon-truffle vinaigrette, awakened our palates and left us eagerly anticipating the main course.
Two of us were drawn to the Veal Marsala, and I can confidently say it was love at first bite. The tender veal cutlets were breaded to perfection, with a satisfying crunch giving way to juicy, flavorful meat along with those exquisite fingerling potatoes.
Our third companion opted for the Buffalo Steak Diane, which was cooked to perfection. The tender, grass-fed buffalo was bursting with rich, beefy flavor.
We concluded our meal with the heavenly Tiramisu, a masterful rendition of the Italian classic.
Throughout our dining experience, we were impressed by Orsetto's commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail. From the spotless tables to the immaculate restrooms, every aspect of the restaurant feels meticulously curated.
In short, Orsetto Restaurant is a culinary gem that shines brightly in the heart of Jackson Hole. If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience, look no further. Be sure to request the Veal Milanese & the Buffalo Steak Diane – your taste buds will thank you!
"We'd like to extend a special thank you to Victor, one of Orsetto's talented cooks, for his gracious invitation to join us for dinner. Also a big appreciation for the hospitality shown by the Chef’s and Sous Chef, Thank you for an exceptional dining experience!"

Read moreThis was supposed to be our "Fine Dining" experience before we returned home from our overall awesome vacation to Jackson Hole. While the food was good (not worth the price in my opinion), the service was less than stellar. We had specifically asked if we should order our meal in phases, the server assured us that the meal would come out in courses...they did not. They didn't even remove glasses when we were finished with our drinks and ordered more. It looked like we had a party of 7 sitting at a table for 2. We definitely felt like we were an inconvenience, as we were pressed with getting a doggy bag, but no offer of dessert until prompted. While I was initially going to dismiss it, and rationalize it as just younger servers and employees so they're not in tune with what it takes to provide quality service commensurate with the price of food, we ran into the manager on our way out. Dispassionate would still be giving him (the manager) too much credit, and I could see attitude reflects leadership. Not only did he fail to support his team explaining the computer issue that resulted in manual processing of our bill (and every other patron that night!!), his "thanks" when leaving almost made it sound as if we were a burden on him vs a paying customer at a quality restaurant. While most establishments I've seen in the past at least respond to their patrons reviews, nothing in all of the reviews of this establishment lead me to believe that this will be at least be read by the owner or the "manager/leadership". All good though, this will definitely be a place I do not recommend...
Read moreWe were at osetto recently celebrating a birthday. We showed up early as the weather wasn't great and thought we would possibly get a drink at the bar. Our very rude hostess said we could not go into the bar, even though there were only 2 people at bar at the time. She then asked us to wait outside or come back at our reserved time. So we went to another spot to have a celebratory toast prior to our reservation time.
We came back to an even more rude hostess who took us to our table in the bar and upon thanking her, she intentionally ignored us. Came back a second time and again was intentionally aloof. We proceeded to have a great meal. 3 different entrees between the 4 of us. All were good, but were ruined by the completely unpleasant interaction with a rude host. By the time we had completed our meals, the bar had filled up with 10 to 12 people and hostess was one of them. So ok for her, but not for us. Hippocritic.
We had a word with manager on way out and he didn't seem to care by himself being defensive and dismissive of our concerns. You would think a manager would give you a dam after customers spend nearly 500 for their meal, but that was a horrible assumption. And in fact told us we were wrong to have come to that conclusion.
Forgive me, but I know the difference and due to the way both the host and the manager treated us, I will never spend another cent there and will make sure others know of our experience and cross this place off their list. There is plenty of good spots to eat in jackson, this is not...
